Brands have taken it upon themselves to help spread awareness about coronavirus by thanking people for staying at home and social distancing. Brands like Macdonalds, Guinness, Audi, and Volkswagen have all edited their logos to demonstrate their thanks to the general public for following the government guidelines.
All these companies have edited their logos here to reiterate the importance of self-isolation. As can be seen in Volkswagen, Macdonalds, and Audi they have separated elements of their logos to demonstrate this separation. And then Guinness has made the head on their pint a couch. Communicative design is a great way of reaching out to millions and letting everyone know that we are in this together. For people to see these world-renown brands play their part, then this will then set an example and encourage the general population to do the same.
