Jo Down is another glass artist that I admire. Her work is not quite as experimental as Vanessa Mitrani although I find her use of colour very attractive. All of her collections have a theme and with each one there is a colour theme to portray it. For example on the right there is a small vase and this vase is part of the 'Indian summer' collection. Now myself I couldn't really associate a group of colours with an Indian summer as I have no knowledge of what it would be like, but for me that colour theme does really demonstrate Indian summer which I think is remarkable as I am clueless about what it is. This is the reason that I do admire Jo downs work as I feel she can capture a mood or scene really well with her colour choice.
